Old Fine China

By sedearborn, 12 August, 2012
Description

These items have been in a box wrapped in newspaper since before I was born (in 1985). These items are from my father's mother and he was born i 1950. He saw his mother use/display these items as he grew up. So I know they are old(er).   I am looking to get an idea about their value, so that we may sell these.  There are a lot of items.

SOme say "Made In Germany 43" "68"  "73" "83"  they also have a name on them "L. Marston"

Another plate says "MZ Altrohlau CM-R  Czechoslovakia"

"Thiodore Haviland Cimoges FRANCE"

"EST  A 1831  Allertons LTD England Kenilworth Made in England" (with a star)

"E.H. George  J.P/L France"

Fine Bone China Shelley England  Ovington 13216"

There's green depression glass, most of the plates have a floral design, we have two tea sets, very old pie plates, and one particular plate I am interested in. It's white and blue, there's a woman on the front, and the back has a poem  titled "Evangeline" by longfellow. Oval Staffordshire Burslem England.

There's a green depression glass violin that used to hang on a wall, it is almost 12" tall.

History
These items are my father's mother's from before 1950... They lived in Boston and Connecticut at that time, and they just now came out of a box that they've lived in since before I was born. We need the money and the closet space so we went through the boxes. We can't afford to get ripped off by local antique stores saying they're worth one price, when they could be worth more. I'm hoping someone can give me an idea of the value, if even for only one thing, it would be helpful. Thank you
