Antique Mahogany Secretary Desk China Cabinet Bookcase

Mahogany Secretary Desk China Cabinet Breakfront & Bookcase. This piece is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty and was VERY WELL made and labeled by John Stuart Furniture which has made some of the HIGHEST quality case goods the market had to offer at the time. It has 8 beautifully banded and inlaid drawers which are all doweled and dovetailed together with brass pull handles that have a floral conche shell embroidery pattern etched into the brass itself. The top drawer has a leather top desk with gold tooling going throughout the edges in a beautiful floral decor pattern and a nicely fitted interior. The drawers and the bottom doors are all inlaid in Satinwood with nicely figured mahogany. The keyholes at the bottom have beautiful Satinwood diamond inlaid escutheons keyholes. All the glass doors have beautifully curved lattice work over the glass as shown in the photos with shelving on the inside for plate displaying. The top crown is nicely recessed with flame mahogany, the drawers have velvet lined interior for your silverware which is sectional. Its made of a beautiful and exotic naturally figured mahogany wood grain pattern as you can see in the pictures. This piece is very HARD TO FIND on the secondary market and because of its size it can be placed in a hallway or foyer as a display cabinet or in an office or study as a bookcase or in the dining room as a china cabinet and anyw else throughout your home as a beautiful accent piece that I PROMISE will be a topic of conversation. This piece was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses anything that is made today and all wood construction but Please understand that this is an older piece so it has some minor imperfections on it but overall this piece is in excellent shape. It measures approx 66 1/4 inches wide, 85 1/4 inches high and approx 17 1/2 inches deep from the center.
