Looking for Info on Old Marquette Arc Welder

By karakena, 4 August, 2009
Description

Marquette arc welder model # 350 BBT, Serial # L323068. We're not sure if it works, was told it worked 15 years ago when it was used last. Has been sitting in a barn for the last 15 years till my husband got it. I have emailed Lincoln who bought out Marquette & they were only able to tell me that they didn't come out with the 3 digit model #'s until the 50's, othere than that they had no info on it. Trying to find out the actual worth of this welder, we have been told could be upwards to 12K

Re: Looking for Info on Old Marquette Arc Welder

Someone is pulling your chain. Old welders like these are very common. They are worth only what the current scrap value may be. A person intending to use one would not be likely to even pay that amount.  Just scraped this same model and pulled 45 pounds of  #1 clean copper out of the transformers.
