Kaplan Furniture Company, Pedestal dinning table.

Description

I have recently purchased a Kaplan Furniture Co pedestal dinning table from the salvation army. The tabe is 67 and 7/8 inches long and has 2 leafs that are 20 and 15/16 inches. The table and leafs are 42 inchess wide. The leafs came in a crate that holds both leafs. The locking mechanism which locks the table together while the leafs are not in place has a patent date of September 28, 1909. I did not know the maker upon purchase but seen the patent date on the locking mechanism and assumed it was an old table. After removing pedestals from table top for easy transport I uncovered an old purchase/shipping tag which I beleive says "to- B. Altman" it gives an item description as "98 pedestals" The order number I beleive reads "CWV4977-96"  and also has a customer name i beleive reads "Schoenfeld." I would really like to find out the date of the pedestal table and the value. Thanks for all the help, I have included pictures of pedestals, table, and tag aswell as patent date of the locking mechanism. I also believe the table is mahogony and has been stained the color which you see in the pics. Any help on restoring it back to its original Mahogony state would be appreciated aswell. Thanks again.
