There was at one time a sticker on the bottom that said "Johann Gunter Wachswarenfabrik Baden Walldurn Schutzmarke Seit 1924" which translates to "Johann Gunter wax goods factory of Baden Walldurn protective brand since 1924", but over time the sticker has gotten lost.
