Harper's Weekly Bound Volume

By Jenny72, 23 September, 2008
Description

Cover and Back very worn and have been amaturely taped with hunter green tape.  Spine in imprinted with "Harper's Weekly  1861-3."  Pages are quite aged yellow and brown but binding is excellent.  800+ pages.  No index or table of contents.  13 pages have small holes.  13 pages have small to large tears.  11 pages have been repaired amaturely with tape.  1 page is badly creased.  14 pages have small to large stains (water? other matter?).  Although wear and tear is evident, the book contains fabulous artwork of Civil War Battlefields and Generals.  Pages and Pages of beautiful sketches.  Gorgeous Christmas 1862 volume.  Chapter stories of the times, advertisements, real estate ads, Women's interest articles.  A lot of information about life in the 1860's.  The cover may be in fair-poor condition, but the contents range from fair to excellent.  An essential piece for any Civil War fan.
