The Frank W. Smith Silver Co. in Gardner, Massachusetts began business in 1886. In 1958 they closed and the dies and tools were sold to the Webster Co. Federal Cotillion was introduced in 1901, but don't know how long production lasted. Being sterling silver, the set is obviously valuable. For insurance purposes you might go to:

although not all the pieces are listed you can probably guesstimate the value of remaining ones.

ebay has more of the everyday pieces and they're not cheap ($70-$90 for 2 dinner forks).

no where did i find an entire set available, therefore it would take a great deal of time and money (plus shipping), plus the cost of having them monogrammed to replace your original set, should something happen to it.
