Re: crystal bowl

The glassware and etching of your bowl was made by Cambridge Glass Co.  The etched pattern is known as Chantilly and was made by Cambridge from the late 1930's to the mid 1950's.  The finishing touch of the sterling base as you stated was done by Sheffield.  This was often done as a special order.  Estimated current value is $55-75

 

I can't tell for sure if the vase is the same etch.  If it is, it is a very unusual item.  If you care to post a pic of only the vase, I will do some research on it.
