Courtroom Sketch/Water color of Jesse Jackson & James Earl Ray by Anna S. Ray

By MerKohl, 9 February, 2015
Description

This is a framed courtroom drawing and watercolor for CBS News of the James Earl Ray trial. Sketched by Anna Sandhu Ray.  23.5x29.  Anna later befriended and married James Earl Ray while he was in prison.  On each side of the American flag sits James Earl Ray and stands Jesse Jackson, looking down and speaking with Ray.  There are different theories concerning Ray's innocence, including that of the King family.  While researching this piece, I uncovered interesting layers to the story.
