Blue and white asian teapot

By lisarb, 11 June, 2009
Description

There was a blank business card in the teapot that had typewritten on it:

no. N31
Blue and White Chinese Teapot
Kang Hsi Period
1662-1723

There is a metal cap on the spout and the leaf mark on the bottom as pictured.

The value of this teapot to me is that is was a treasure to my friend who passed it along to me when she passed away, but I am interested in the history and age of it. I have tried to find information at my local library, on the internet, and at bookstores to no avail. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
