Ernst Heubach Bisque Head Doll, Leather Kid Body, Glass Eyes.
This was my grandmothers childhood doll. Non-smoking home.

Ernst Heubach GERMANY Doll (Year:1919-1932). 26 inches in height. Three Layers of Vintage Clothing, Leather Jointed Body, Blue Glass Eyes are fixed open, Painted Lashes and Brows, Open mouth with upper teeth. The Bisque head is in good shape (smudge on forehead, may come off) with a wonderful human head wig reddish in color. On the back it is marked: Heubach 275.2. The clothing is original. This was my grandmothers childhood doll, she was was born in 1911.

The arms are white porcelain. The top of the arms are leather and the legs are leather on a Kid Body and the legs have a pin so they are partly jointed. The lower part of the legs are also leather and they are bendable at the knees. The kid body and the head is in good shape for the age. There are no cracks, chips, etc on her. She only shows the normal wear for a girl her age.

Ernst Heubach Dolls 1887-1932+ German. Ernst Heubach's porcelain factory was in Koppelsdorf, Germany. They made bisque doll heads on kid or composition bodies. Ernst Jr. married Beatrice Marseille, daughter of Armand Marseille and one of Heubach's sculptors had a brother that worked as a sculptor also at Marseille, which may explain why their dolls have similarities to one another. In 1919 Heubach and A. Marseilles merged and formed the United Porcelain Factory of Koppelsdorf (Vereinigte Koppelsdorf Porzellanfabrik vorm Armand Marseille and Ernst Heubach). By 1932 the two companies went their separate ways.
