Asian Rice Bowls or Tea Cups?

I found theset a sale. I know nothing about them, but would love to have some information. One person told me they are tea cups and antother told me they are rice bowls.  I have just started going to local sales and have no background knowledge, so any help will be appreciated. There are four assorted blue and white designs and two other bowls with lids. Some have inscriptions, some don't.
