Asian Motif Tea Cart - Paalman Furniture of Michigan

By seanmc, 12 August, 2012
Description

I recently acquired an antique tea cart.  Made by the Paalman Furniture Company of Grand Rapids Michigan.  Approximately early 1900's - 1920's.  It is all original...painted black with a hand painted asian motif on top & small decorator notes on both drop leaves.  Hard rubber on large wheels (in good shape).

It has the patented Paalman drop handle, marked "Patented May 28 1918."  It has the original label (intact) numbered "494" printed then hand numbered next to this "A92."

Normal wear for an item of its age; light rub mark on drop handle, one small chip on corner of one leaf about the half the size of a postage stamp.  Overall good condition.

Need a value range please.
