Description
Archaic Chinese Jade Goat figure, large old piece, weighs approx 1.7kg. Translucent when held to light. Passes the jade test. has surface recrystalization and discoloration due to age and time in ground. Surface carving typical of very old techniques. Was examined previously and told it is very old- but not the first ever made so falls into the archaic category instead of ancient. This has been part of our personal jade collection for many years. Purchased from private collecton in China.
