Antique Maddox Secretary Desk with Drop Leaf and Drawers You are bidding on an original Maddox Furniture Company secretary . the desk portion has some sticker residue that was placed on it so it may be need to refinished,(see photos on the left side I left on as I did not want to scratch the desk also the latch on the left side on the desk when pulled down is loose, other than these 2 defects the condition is excellent .This  is the original condition some age appropriate character marks from gentle used over the year, all; the drawers in pristine condition ,claw feet , all hardware in original condition,as well key is still in position.This is a very heavy piece of furniture that measures" 40" tall 18.5 deep and 31 "wide.The inside of the drawers are beautiful as well as the  original designed hardware. A fine early 20th century vintage Chippendale style secretary desk by the Maddox Furniture Company (founded 1919). It features a drop front which forms a writing surface, above four drawers with serpentine fronts and stands on four claw and ball feet. The interior enclosed by the drop panel features six mail slots flanking a cabinet space with a small door and two more hidden mail slots behind the columns on either side, all of which stands above a row of four small drawers.Original Condition*See photos.

My great Aunt 's desk unsure of when she purchased it she was an entertainer and travel ed all over the world as an organist ..her more was san francisco..she passed away at 93 ..I obtained 7 years ago from her estate...
