Re: antique free westinghouse sewing machine

Not much I'm afraid, there are a ton of old sewing machines dating from the second quarter of the 20th century on the market that nobody wants. Up until the 1940's virtually every home had a sewing machine, which means very few other than very rare examples made during the early years of the 19th century are sought after. Most like yours sell for less than $100.00 at auction.

Re: antique free westinghouse sewing machine

What to you think value of a Free Westinghouse sewing machine - Model 5 (A1B)? The machine looks good, has many feet and the instruction manual. I does not know if it works or not. It is in a wood cabinet that needs refinishing. Thanks. Patrice

My question is similar to and earlier post with regard to a Free Westinghouse sewing machine. I also have one that looks quite similar to the machine in the pictures from the post on: Mon, 09/29/2008- 4:10pm by jpeachy Category: General Antiques & Collectibles.

However mine has the datestamp of 1912 on the machine... how does this change the value?

Does anyone know the value of a Free-Westinghouse style #1172260-A? (It works, is in a case and includes attachments.)

Re: Westinghouse New Home Sewing Machine

I have my mom's Westinghouse New Home Sewing Machine.  It is approximately 60 years old.  The cabinet is in excellent condition and the machine works.  It is style # 956227-C.  Does anyone know the value of this machine and where I could sell it?
