Antique chair with brocade fabric

By Grammy of 2, 6 April, 2018
Description

This chair along with an exact match were found in my great aunts shed when we had an estate sale. As far as I know, these chairs were part of my great-grandparents home. This is very possible since my grandfather and his brother built their homes right next door to their parents.

I have a total of 5 chairs ( just like this one in various colors) all from the Eastlke Era. My main question is what is the name of the type of chair (unique because the springs on the front of the seat where the knees rest are higher than the back of the seat where your bum rests);

I have done a little research, but can't find any pictures of chairs with this type of seat.

I can tell you that the chairs are in really good condition. From what I can tell, they don't look like they have been reupholstered. The seats seem to have springs rather than stuffing.

Any information that you can give would be deeply appreciated.

Thanks!
