I found this at a thrift shop a few years ago and thought it was very interesting. It appears to be a whistle of some sort, made of clay or pottery. It has several animals on different sides of the piece, depending on which way you turn it. One side is an owl, another a giraffe, another like a pig or something and yet another is another animal, possibly a gnu or oxen or something. Each side has small holes in it and if you blow in them it makes a horm sound and you can cover different holes and get different pitches or tones from the piece. There is carvings on it to represent feathers or fur, and eyes.
This is a very unusual piece and I hope someone will know more about it's orgin and what exactly it is and possibly even an appraisal! Thanks for any help!
