1897 New Britain Climax Food Chopper

Description

I was having problems loading a picture of it on my computer so i had to Google a image. Although the picture i have says Universal my meat grinder does not say Universal on it.So please understand but i will try to get a picture of mine on here soon.

Found it and Bought it at a Flea Market. Its 111 Years old. The handle and crank work. part of it is a lil rusted but most of it is still the gray metal color.

What you need to know is 1897 was the patent date. Your chopper was made in the 1940's, when they began manufacturing these choppers in the early 1900's they were cast iron with no zinc finish. Sorry to tell you but your chopper is worth about $12.00-$15.00, but hey you only spent $3.00.Even if it were a really ealry model it would only go for about $40. As you can tell just by picking it up, they were made really solid and they were found in kitchens across America.

i also picked one of these up in a garage sale got all excited when i paid a quarter for it i think its a good find tho id sell it for 15 bucks
