Description
What I know about this: I've heard Sears and Roebuck mantel. It was originally in a farmhouse in South Georgia on my Great Grandparent's land. It's solid wood and was the original mantel in the house that was probably built in the 1890's or first decade of the 1900's.
My grandmother eventually married into that family that owned the land and house and that's how she ended up with it when they tore the house down in the late 60's or 70's. She actually was best friends with a girl that lived there and that mantel was there when she was a teenager in 1944.
It's been in dry barn storage ever since. It's super sturdy even now.
