Description
The title of this piece is "Mere du Doler". It is a sorrowful portrait of Madonna looking to the heavens after Christ's crucifixion. she is holding his crown of thorns and burial loin cloth with tears streaming down her face. The artist Fanoli is from Padua, Italy born in 1807. Other works from this artist are in several museums around the world. This piece is in fair to rough condition but the printing and insignias of the titles are readable.
