Two 1920's Lantern Style Table Lamps
Appraiser Remarks
Your lamps date from the first quarter of the 20th Century, with lamps of this type being popular in the early 1920's. Most lamps like this were mass produced, most carry no maker's mark, often only having a mold number cast in the base. They were generally cast in "Spelter", a zinc alloy that resembles pewter in its natural state, but it is often painted or plated to resemble brass or bronze. Lamps like this last peaked in value during the 1990's, values and demand have decreased considerably since that time.
