Roll top desk by Standard Furniture Co.

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

The way I found this site was by searching for the missing lock on the roll top. I can't find one. The arms are there, just missing the lock. Every one asks what make it is, thats where you come in. I found a sticker inside the middle drawer thas says Standard Furniture Co. The lock on the drawer says Eagle Lock Co. Terryville Conn.USA  6U 12.  The drawer handles are metal instead of wood. What do I have?

Early English Bone Chess Set

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Excellent
Description

Antique English chess set, made of bone, in dovetailed wood box.

The red and white pieces are excellent with all pieces present.

The tallest piece is 2 1/2 inches high.

The wooden dovetailed box is the one that contained the pieces when I found them.

The box is in very good condition and is 4 5/8 by 3 1/4 by 2 1/2 inches.

Seller was a collector and said it was a barley corn pattern (?)
