This is a signal cannon on its original base, different because of the way the brass and wood base are made. It is a breech loading cannon with a muzzle ID of 7/8.
This is a tea set I found at my mother's house. I've found similar sets online, but I have not been able to find one with this floral pattern and was wondering if anyone knew how much it may be worth. The box is labeled "Little Hostess Set", "made in Japan", and "5004492"
On the outer frame, they read: Produced by L. Elkinton Larzelere, Pineville-in-bucks Co. Pa. Just above this on one of them, there is a stamp that reads: Frances S. Heinicke Ivyland Bucks County Pennsylvania.
The color of the pictures are a reddish brow, and both plates are trimmed in gold.
On each painting, it looks like a signature and date, (right hand side above the scene title): Betty Heiges '55. It is difficult to make out on both.
