There are two Vases or Rose Bowls from a friend's grandmother's estate. They are opaque like milk glass, yet they have a green tint to them. I have seen vaseline glass before and this it not it, there is no flouescence. There is an overall embossed or sculptured shape to them that represent Roses and Greenery. I have found a similar pattern by Imperial Glass called La Bella Rose and this is not it, but very similar. When all of those glass maker's factorys were so close to one another they "shared" patterns. I have searched all names of glass from different maker's and cannot find this color or pattern. The Imperial item it not the same size nor thickness of glass. Could this be glass over porcelain or ceramic? Thank you in advance for any information.
I have an advertisement for the Met Opera's "Aida". What is unique about it is that it is painted on glass rather than the traditional print poster. It announces Edward Johnson as General Manager and says that admission is $.30. Very interesting, also says tha tit uses Kimball pianos exclusively. Again, am at work so I don't remember too much about it...
