not sure what exactly this is. Been told an old "bean pot"? It is very heavy and in good condition. Has two loop hooks on side along with a handle and lid. No particular markings that we can find.
This particular hutch has a cutting board that pulls out above long drawer and two towel racks (one on each side), very sturdy and heavy. Looks like everything is original. Has military type stampings on bottom side of one of the smaller drawers (shown as best as can in pix), Is in decent shape for age of item except for two pieces of bottom back is cracked and off; but have both pieces and they match back up perfectly.
The seller claims it came from Georgia, "a long time ago." In other words, the age is unknown. What I can tell you is, the mount appears to be in good shape with plenty of color in the skin, no splitting or drumming around the ears, etc.
When we removed the plaque from the back, it appears straw was used in the mount.
Also interesting, I just came across another antique head on ebay that has very similar features to mine in terms of the mount style, the hook in the back, and it has a certificate from 1924. I am mainly looking for info on how old my mount might be.
