There are four footed bowls, no handles, all mint condition. The pattern is all swirls, all going in the same direction. Even the pedestal is swirled. No manufacturer's marks that I can see. Very soft pink color--although it appears darker in the pictures. Thank you for any guidance anyone is able to provde!
I bought this from a man who said he was selling his friend's things for him. This was hanging along the back wall, along with a deco-style wooden mirror. I bought both for 20.00. The seller told me that it was a wood carving that had been pulled from a sailing ship before it was destoyed. After looking at it more closely, and taking into consideration the weight, I wonder if it isn't carved or molded plaster. I have never seen anything like this, nor have I been able to find anyone who knows what it is, where it might have come from, or how old it is. I have had a few old-timers tell me that it is wood, most people I know think it must be made of plaster though.
After four years of research and many conversations, I'd like to put it online and see if anyone out there might have some insight on this Lady.
