I recently purchased this table at a local auction. The seller said that his parents purchased the table many years ago and he thought that it was French and from the late 1800's, but had no provenance. The table appears to be old but has had some of the wood replaced and the drawer knobs are attached with modern screws.
Was my great grandmother's, probably early 1900's We think it was acquired in Germany during WWII. In perfect shape. Don't see any markings on it to say who made it.
My wife acquired this desk maybe 35 years ago, not sure where or for how much. She's no longer with us, and I'm clearing out and looking to get a fair price for this. I did have a partial label that said "Rockford ILL. Wondering if you can date it and provide any enlightening information and value. Thanks so much for anything you can provide.
I am looking to sell locally as I do not want to deal with shipping.
My wife got this antique rocking chair from her grandmother who has been saving it for many years. I cannot find any markings about who makes it, but it looks to be handmade due to the roughness and small glob of glue I was able to find.
