Not sure how old this piece is but according to searches I've made it appears to be a majolica piece. Design is unique one of a kind candlestick with Italy inscribed in the bottom.
Gifted to my family in 1952 when living in the UK for my Father's Christening. The story goes that apparently the dress was much older when it was received by the family. Some say it could be made in the early 1800's but I am unsure and would like to get an idea of how old the gown really is. It used to have lots of petticoats, but my Nan had to use them as nappies for her children so it only has 1 petticoat left which has been mended by my family across the time.
I was gifted this chest and wondered if it has any value. Much of the enamel pieces are missing but it does have some character as is. I believe it is Japanese but not positive.
