Antique Ceramic

Category

Condition
Excellent
Description

"King Crown" 12 gallon ceramic pot (Ransbottom Brothers Pottery Co.) in excellent condition
This is an early Robinson Ransbottom 12 gallon stoneware crock. The crock features a wonderfully and professionally crafted stoneware construction with a crown and a 12 in the middle of the crown for the Robinson Ransbottom hallmark and denoting the size of the crock. In circa 1900, Frank Ransbottom and his brother started a pottery company in Roseville, Ohio to make stoneware and pottery and by 1916 Ransbottom Pottery was the largest producer of stoneware jars in America. Around 1920, they merged with Robinson Clay Products Co. who created bricks and titles with the name being changed to RRP Company. The condition of this of this stoneware crock is very good with no obvious signs of damage and in good overall condition. The measurements of this crock are 18" x 16".

I came across these two pieces in the giveaway area at my storage unit and after doing a Google image search, discovered they may be worth more than I originally thought. Hoping someone may be able to give me an idea of their worth (if any).

Large rubbing of knight

Category
Decorative Arts
Condition
Good
Description

I have a large rubbing of a knight on paper that measures 6 foot 6 inches in height and 25 inches wide. The image measures 5 foot 11 1/4 inches tall. The rubbing is done in gold. The paper is off white and has some age spot and browning color discoloration. A few minor tears on the edge of the paper and a larger one at the bottom but none that extend into the image. This was given to my husband by his now deceased sister in the 70’s. We have no info on where she obtained it or what it is.
