Royal Doulton Titanium cup

Profile picture for user Lovejoy
By Lovejoy, 21 July, 2017
Accurate Description of Item
One Royal Doulton Titanian Cup, Circa 1925.
Appraiser Remarks
The Titanian marking was used circa 1916-33, the other markings I can't make out. The Titanian glaze uses a titanium oxide which produces a bluey colour. Examples of Titanian ware can vary from white to dark blue glazes and was widely used as a background color on hand decorated pieces.

The Egyptian motif was used after the discovery of King Tut's tomb in 1922. The opening of the Tomb spawned a whole offshoot in design when these relics were seen for the first time.

In terms of value, some Titanian pieces can be quite valuable, but the tableware pieces tend to be at the lower end of the scale, especially if it is damaged . In the condition your pieces is in I'd place its value at under $150.00 for replacement purposes.
Estimated Value
$100.00- $150.00
