Your set is in the French Provincial style. French Provincial furniture was a simplified country version of the Louis XV style, but was not as elaborately carved or embellished with figured veneers as the pieces made in the urban centers of France during the mid 1700's.
This style comes and goes out of fashion about every 30 years or so demand for furniture like this last peaked in the 1990's and has been in decline in recent years, its "Over the top" styling not currently in vogue.
