One Jacobean Revival Style Cedar Chest
Appraiser Remarks
Your chest is in the Jacobean Revival style which was popular during the first quarter of the 20th century through the early 1930's. The style copied examples of early English furniture made during the reigns of Queen Elizabeth 1st. and James 1st. Cedar chest like this were made in huge numbers in all the revival styles as well as Art Deco and Mid Century Modern, so values remain modest, we have trouble selling any for much over $225.00 these days.
