Accurate Description of Item
One 20th Century Asian Silk Painting
Appraiser Remarks
While not mass produced in the modern sense of the term, Oriental silk embroideries and paintings of this type were made in very large numbers for export to the West since the turn of the 19th Century through to World War Two (1939) Most have the Artist's signature in the form of what's called a "Chop Mark", the red marking in from of the script. Most of these Aritsts are "Unknown's", meaning there is very little information regarding themselves or their work. Values for them tend to depend on the subject matter and size, we'd retail a comparable one in the $200.00- $300.00 range.
Estimated Value
