Waltham Pocket Watch

By chaefner, 1 May, 2009
Description

The front of the watch has a glass cover and has "Waltham" on it. The numbers are gold and the hands are blue.
There is a round dial at the bottom that I believe is a second hand?

The inside movement side has "A.W.W. Co., Waltham, Mass., 17 Jewels, serial #22604073.

The inside back cover has "National W.C.Co., 14K, 717891

I would REALLY appreciate ANY help that someone can give me!!

It is NOT in working condition.

Re: Waltham Pocket Watch

You have a great "timepiece". With a cover it's a "hunter's"
style.

It is also an unusual shape, so tends to command a higher price.

The fact that the "Lozenge" is blank helps too, that's where you engrave your initials for ownership. No initials means it can still be personalized.

Here is a site you need to visit:
http://www.oldwatch.com/identify/identify.html

It talks about the watches made by this company! With examples of how to identify it.

It appears to be made about 1894.

If you fill in some of the details at this site, you should be able to get more information on it:

http://www.nawcc-info.org/WalthamDB/observations.asp?Model=1894&Name=No…

My Estimate of price (assuming it is working) would be about $90 - $110, from what I have seen in the market generally. Prices do fluctuate a lot, depending upon the interested parties though!

So Enjoy it!
