(Vintage?) Lady Figurine Lamp

By sumbil, 9 August, 2009
Description

I bought this lamp for $2.00 at a yard sale approximately 18 to 19 years ago. The base is of a woman in what looks like a 'Southern Belle' dress with a bouquet of flowers in her hand and is wearing a bonnet. The shade is designed like a parasol with a clam/scalloped design. The shade clips onto the bulb. It is in a blue shade of color. I was just wondering if anyone might know anything about it or what it might be worth. Thank you.

Re: (Vintage?) Lady Figurine Lamp

Hi there! I don't know what it might be worth but if you would like to put a price on it, I would be interested in buying it from you. I had one that had been my grandmothers but...letting the US military move things you want to keep in one piece is NOT a good idea. Mine arrived with the base broken and I have been scouring antique malls and thrift stores in hopes of finding another one. Please let me know if you find out more about them--I didn't even know what to call them to try and find another one. thanks, Krys

Re: (Vintage?) Lady Figurine Lamp

From what I have been able to gather, they are blue depression glass, made in the 1930s. They are Southern Belle Glass Figural Lamps. Here is a link that might help.

Hope this helps. From Tracie
