Yes, it does indeed look like you have exactly what you wrote. Har to tell exactly what type you have as the point of the knife isn't in the photo, but looks like a hospital corps knife. Does it look anything like this: https://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?349727-USMC-machete or does it have a sharper point?
