Turners Oval Meat Serving Tray

Description

Large oval platter, in good shape, rear stamp as indicated above.  Possibly from 1891-1895?

Would love any further information about the dish as well as idea on appraisal.

Not Much to tell really, they were one of just hundreds of pottery concerns churning out earthenware and ironstone for the American market during the late 19th Century. Here's a link for you:

As far as value goes, not a fortune as it's badly crazed. At auction these often sell for under $125.00.

Thanks for the info.  Not realzing how old it was-I have actually been using it for the last few years!

Pretty much every household of middling income would have had a similar platter during the late Victorian era, generally the more elaborate the design the hoher it cost when new.
