Solid Wood Tall Back Dining Chairs - Antique

By lavendar888, 17 September, 2009
Description

I got these recently and would love to get an opinion on their age, type of wood and value. The finish is worn a bit and one of the backs is scratched. They are not broken. Made solid, entirely of wood. Seat is thin with a vinyl/leather like material on it.

I would love opinions on these chairs. thanks!

Re: Solid Wood Tall Back Dining Chairs - Antique

These are colonial revival style chairs of a type made during the first quarter of the 20th century. Values for examples in need of "TLC" are less than $50.00 each at auction.

Re: Solid Wood Tall Back Dining Chairs - Antique

Thank you so much for this information!! What is the lowest price to accept on these? I might list them on craiglist, would that be better than taking to an auction? Never auctioned something off before, but don't you have to accept whatever price people at the auction want to pay, even if it is $10? Thank you for your time!
