Rheims Cathedral Etching by Buckingham Print/J.A. Brewer

By crvillalva, 2 May, 2009
Description

Color etching of Rheims cathedral with stamp of Buckingham Print and signature on the right side says "after JA Brewer" I don't see any date on the print. The owner was from an ancestor that lived in France. Any information about this etching is greatly appreciated.

I have a duplicate of this etching. It is signed by Brewer on the right side and on the left is Re-Proof    Jacobi.  Any ideas.    P. Sharp

Re: Rheims Cathedral Etching by Buckingham Print/J.A. Brewer

I have an etching of Reims Cathedral that is extremely similar to the one shown but the colors in mine are more subdued with only delicate tinting.  The sky is much less blue and the tree not as green.  In the narrow frame it is 10.5 x 16.  I don't see a name anywhere.   I would love to know the artist's name if anyone has discovered it.  M.
