Rare 1913 Remington Typewriter Model 10 with 5 Tabulator Keys

By Jahbiz, 13 December, 2012
Description

1913 Remington Typewriter Model 10. Which is the first with visible type, but this one has 5 Tabulator keys. Around the time there was typing courses becoming available which started a huge market for the typewriter because a new proffesion for women was created. Which makes this Remington Standard Model 10 have huge historical significance. So the company was having a demand for specific typewriters for different business; like for accounting, publishing companies, etc. There was only 5000 of the Remington Standard Model 10, but no known record of how many with the 5 Tabulator keys. Soon after for some reason they took this model and changed it to the Remington Standard Model 12. And it was the Model 12 that had mass production. And this makes the Model 10 much more valueable. The Tabulator keys stated from left, Street (1Tab.), City Par., Yours NAME, Sig. STREET, Date CITY. So the first word is on the top above the red key and the second word is right below it like this:

Street

(1tab.)

There is no record of the serial number either: LV13075
