Re: Professor Pug Frogs Great Bicycle Feat

I've had it verified for authenticity and researched  sell prices on other banks like it ... I'm seeking appraisal prices on it.

Re: Professor Pug Frogs Great Bicycle Feat

History on Item:

This item is made by J&E Stevens, a compnay from Cromwell Conneticut. J&E Stevens is one of the best known mechanical bank makers in his time period and made numerous amounts of mechianical banks. He started out by making banks for his friends and family but in the 1870s, convinced by a family member, he began selling his mechanical banks, hence starting his company. Your model is the J&E Stevens Co Two Hundred & Fifty Dollars for Money Bank but more commonly known as the Proffesor Pug Frogs Great Bicycle Feat Mother Goose Circus.

Value on your item:

Your item appears to be in great shape. There is spots were the paint is chipped and missing but that comes with age. If you have an orignal paint job and the item has never been restored, I'd put an appraisal on it for $950.

Market:

The market on J&E Stevens banks are always up and down. Right now the market appears to be at the highest point as recent auctions have ended for over $1000

If I was any help, I'd greatly appreciate an accepted comment! Thanks!
