(Plz Help -Need nFo) Unique Trapunto/3D Hunting Tapestry -Maybe One-of-a-Kind?...

Profile picture for user Sl.Ag

Description

Hi! Can anyone help me identify (or just know something about) this Framed Tapestry.  It depicts a deer chased by 4 hunters on horseback and 7 dogs. The Deer, a Dog, and 3 of the Horses & Hunters are padded and raised from the rest of the scene. The fabric feels like carpet.

There's no label or artist name/gallery, etc. I’ve researched it for days & can't find anything on it (and I'm a Computer Geek). I've only found similar ones of different hunting scenes, and none have the 3D padding. Most of these have red-outfitted hunters, horses, and dogs, and are said to be Antique French art.

Dimensions: 22” x 39”  /  6Lbs     * It's in Excellent Condition for its age (which I can tell by the nails attaching the back to the Frame) -no frays, loose/hanging fibers, or rips; and the solid-wood frame has only minor age-related wear (fine scratches/scuffs).

Thanks in advance for the help. –Shanna
