Painting "Old Houses in Belgium"

By Riverrat, 6 January, 2009
Description

The pictures were unfortunately taken with a flash and the reflection is distracting.  The colors are actually quite vibrant.

Re: Painting "Old Houses in Belgium"

I believe the artist's name to be Jacques Padrot-Bouisset, born in 1888.  I have been unable to compare signatures, and so far that is as close as I can come.  If anyone has any information about this painting I would greatly appreciate it.  Thanks!

Re: Painting "Old Houses in Belgium"

Etchings are of course a type of print, they tend to be smaller editions with print runs of less than 1000. With each printing the quality degrades, losing the sharpness of the original image. I have no sales data for this artist, but similar prints often sell for less than $200.00 at auction.
