Looks like an ancient pottery bowl. Not sure. Can I get a little help from someone more so knowledgable with a better analysis to my bowl?

The mouth of the bowl measures 7" and tapers to the bottom resting on a round circle base approx. 2 3/8" that is raised approx. 3/8".
Date Period
No idea, but it sure looks old to me.
