oil painting and original in museum in france Pierre Dupuis

By sherryjohnson, 1 May, 2017
Description

This paiinting injerited from my father who bought it is europe around 1920. He thought it was original but apparently the orignal is in France museum. Whats interesting is the plaque in frame it came with. It says Edguard Krug. supposedly it is from the mid 1800s.

I would love info about this painting. The museum in france I contacted said sometimes artists before they become famous paint other painters paintings or it was a reproduction that possibly the museum commisioned. I dont know. I want to sell it and I am wondering if it is worth anything,
