Notre Dame collection

By mich579, 5 January, 2017
Description

Hello,

Got these from a family friend who has since passed.  I don't really know much about them.  Do you know what era these are from, especially the helmet?  I've tried searching in the past but can't seem to coordinate the helmet style with the coach's name on the back.

The helmet has a plastic (?) front that is wrapped in black duct tape.  There are leather covers around the bottom of the ears and some parts on the inside.  The helmet looks like it's seen its playing days.

The shirts with the numbers on them say they are Champion size medium.   There is no name on the back--just the same number for each.  They are in very good condition and are like a heavy shirt, but not quite a sweatshirt.

The other two are sweatshirts--the blue one with the special script is in great condition.  The green one with the logo on the side has some very slight wear to it (some threads coming out and a little wear around the collar).  Neither one has anything on the back.

I'm most curious about the helmet but since these were all together I thought they were part of the same "package."  Are they all from the same era?

Thanks for your help!
