Marilyn Monroe SEALED 1952 Twin Deck Playing Cards in Velvet Box with Cardboard sleeve. UNOPENED PERFECT

By mortso, 8 July, 2007
Description

These playing cards were FIRST issues of the Tom Kelly famous Marilyn Nudes taken May 27, 1949 when she needed rent money. For a full documentation of the photographs see here:
http://www.marilynmonroe.ca/camera/calendar/index.html
The cards were kept in my Dad's nightstand for over 40 years, I got them when he died in 1996. They are mint and the celuloid wrappers and "US INT REV" Seals are still fully intact. The presentation box is perfect as well as it was kept in the original cardboard sleeve, which is intact but slightly yellowed.

Re: Marilyn Monroe SEALED 1952 Twin Deck Playing Cards in ...

I own what seems to be about the same item. Mine however has tin tip trays on either side of the two unopened decks.

Are there photos of what you have? Was an appraisal ever done? Did you ever sell these?

I can post some photos of what I have if anyone is interested.
