Limbert by Van Raalte Craftsmen China Hutch, Dining Table, Sideboard, and Chairs

Description

Dining Room Suite, U.S., Limbert Co by Van Raalte Craftsmen, Grand Rapids, MI/Holland, MI, c. 1920's, mahogany, Regency style of the 1st quarter 19th C. all drawers with mahogany liners in very good condition.

Dining Room Suite consists of:

China Hutch/Cabinet 42 x 16 x 65.5"H, matched bookleaf veneer to the domical crest, bookleaf veneer panels flanking the single glazed door with mullions of center urn with tendrill trailings, reeded pilasters, all aove single long drawer with veneered front and legs matching table.

Table 60 x 42  x 30.54H, four turned legs with lightly everted reeded shafts and knopped to each end, pairs joined by turned struts, bevelled corners with reeded capitals to top and apron, another pair of supporting legs center, with one leaf.

1 Head chair 375:H and 5 side chairs 37", respectively upholstered seats, saber legs rear, shaped stiles with oval crest rails and oval pierced back splats, shaped arms to the head chair, turned H-stretchers, and front legs matching the suite.

Sideboard, 66 x 22.5 x 40"H, sahped low rear rail, two drawers center flanked by bin drawer below short drawer to each side, drawers  with matching bookleaf crotch veneers, four legs fron and two rear matching the suite.
