Kutani (Craftsman China) 20 Pieces in the set

By Steamboater, 8 November, 2008
Description

There are 5 plates, 6 cups and saucers, one teapot, a sugar and creamer. Colors are vibrant and include, brown, gold, orange, beautiful blues, green and raised white dots. Plates, saucers and cups rimmed too in gold. Cups are bone china and almost a paperweight. The set looks liek much of the satsuma I've seen but it's Kutani. My neighbor is Japanese and she said it's unusual to see Kutani china with depictions of men on them. This set, I was told, was bought in Japan in the 1950s. The colors are stronger in the upside down cup pic and teapot pic and much closer to the actually colors. Too much light in the other pics.
